Our Top 3 Favorite Gluten Free Protein Bars

If you are on the go and need a quick nutrient rich snack a protein bar is usually a good way to go. Many bars however have gluten and other allergens in them. Being gluten-free is difficult, especially when you can’t make your own food on the go. Our list offers gluten free protein bar solutions.

Quest Bars
20g protein, 19g fiber, 6g fat, 24 carbs (only 1g sugars), and 170 calories

For this bar I tried the chocolate brownie. It tasted syrupy sweet despite being simple and all natural. Keep the sweet factor in mind with this bar.

It’s a very chewy bar with lots of fiber to help you get filled up. The bar was very thick and filled me up quite well. With 19g of fiber you will appreciate how long you can stay full after eating a Quest bar. The box says “Quest is the first bar you can eat guilt free,” and you can! Some people don’t taste the chocolate as strongly as they would like to. Keep that in mind when buying your flavor.

Nogii bars
20g protein, 2g fiber, 8g fat, 20g carbs, (10g sugars), and 230 calories

Nogii bars are higher in calories but they also have a larger bar to enjoy. I tried the peanut butter and chocolate flavor to be good and it reminded me of some other gluten-free bars that I have tried. With a chocolate bottom, a crispy rice bar, and chocolate drizzled on top. It’s big and filling, and gave me the guilty sensation of eating a rather satisfying dessert. It doesn’t have that processed mealy feeling that many bars do. Nogii bars taste like real food, and I like that a lot. After inspecting the packaging, I learned that the woman behind these bars is ABC’s The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who’s also author of the best-selling book “The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide.”

Hammer Bars
5g protein, 5g fiber, 11g fat, 27 carbs (19g sugars), and 230 calories

Hammer bars are included on this list but not high-protein bars. The Hammer bars are a nutrient bar, a moist mash up of nuts and natural ingredients. I will give you my 2 cents on them as an on the go snack.

I really like the cashew coconut chocolate chip flavor. It is delicious and very naturally delicious too. You can even see the chocolate chips, nuts, and dried fruit within the bar. Being so moist they almost feel a little greasy which may be a turn off to some. This bar also has 11 grams of fat which needs to be accounted for, especially if you are on a low fat diet.
